Europe is a splendid mixture of cultures, traditions, languages, and customs. This continent consists of almost everything that you can imagine, from wonderful beaches and beautiful monuments to sprawling cities and quiet and peaceful villages.

Below, I have mentioned a few tips which could help in making your trip easier and more fun than you have imagined.

1. Decide upon the time carefully

In case you are visiting Europe during summer then the Slovenian mountains and Baltic cities would be a wise choice. However, if you are traveling there during autumn than countries such as Spain and Italy won't disappoint. For a winter trip, you can visit France or the Netherlands where you would find beautiful, pleasant stays at affordable prices. In case you plan to visit anywhere in the UK then keep in mind the changes post Brexit.

2. Move around in trains

5. Find out the best accommodation

Accommodation in Europe is pretty easy to find, and one can get hold of luxurious or affordable locations to stay. 6. Get hold of the local language

Learning a few local phrases would help you a lot while traveling through new cities and countries. Local people appreciate when a tourist makes an effort to speak their tongue, and they are more than ready to help in that case. Try listening to YouTube videos and channels in order to get hold of the pronunciation. If nothing else then at least learn how to greet someone, like say 'thank you' in the local dialect.

7. Mix in

While on a trip to any foreign location, try and be a part of the local crowd as much as you can. Respect the customs of the local people and behave in the most polite way possible. For example, refrain from wearing any short dresses or skirts in Orthodox churches. Also, keep your voice low as Europeans prefer speaking in a lower tone. Get hold of the local customs and abide by them as much as you can.

8. Try guided tours offered within cities

Some of the popular towns in Italy as well as Turkey offer guided tours which allow you to get a good glimpse into the history of these places. These free walking tours are often run by university students and are fun to be part of. You would get plenty of knowledge with regards to the place you are in.

10. Stay safe and secure

If you are traveling to a foreign location for the first time, keep your wits about you. Even well-developed nations have a crime rate. Don't move around flashing your expensive phone or camera and keep your eyes on your belongings at all times. Also, do preserve your documents such as passports at some place safe and, if possible, carry a photocopy of the same.
